Jesse Brightstone...what to say about him...
Well. Perhaps I ought to provide a snippet from Jesse's home life as a child.

“Again.”
Jesse, panting, lifts his head and his father’s wand and concentrates on the heavy marble bust of Bal the Unremarkable that he has just sent flying across the room. Albert Brightstone, sitting in a comfortable chair by the fireplace, watches him dispassionately.
“Accio bust of Bal.” Jesse, unprepared for his immediate success, gives a low, pained whimper as the bust tumbles back across the room, hitting him squarely between the eyes.
Albert Brightstone gives an approving nod as his seven year-old son doubles over and sinks to the floor, clutching his head and moaning. “Good.”

That's just a part of his life. Jesse Brightstone was born the wealthy son of Albert Brightstone and his wife Nigella Hemley, who, at the age of seventeen, changed the lives of many Muggle-borns and their parents by creating a mail-order program designed to help them cope with their new madic-influenced lives. Nigella Hemley died shortly after giving birth to her son. It is widely speculated that Albert Brightstone, in a fit of anti-Muggle rage, killed her. No one has ever dared to call him on it.
At the age of seven, Jesse's magical training began. He has been homeschooled his entire life, and is only now being sent to school due to his father's mysterious 'illness' (which, for some reason, seems to be completely absent in social settings).
Now, at the age of fifteen, Jesse Brightstone knows more illegal and semi-legal curses than he cares to, many of them learned for self-defense. He is an extremely intelligent boy, with dark brown hair down to the middle of his back (kept mostly in a low ponytail or braid), small, round spectacles, and ill-matched eyes (one blue, one brown). He prefers books to people, due to his solitary upbringing.
