He shook his head in exasperation and went back to work.

[steven]

"Such a nice boy." He pulled out the fireworks he'd recently purchased.

"I've seen them before but.... how do you get them to work?" *pokes one of them nervously*

"I command you to ignite!" he paused for a moment to find that nothing had happened.

"*Saddened* oooh. *"

[Sam]

Closing time came and Henry went about putting things away and locking up. Once done, he grabbed a bit of food and dragged himself up the stairs. He passed by the man's room and saw him poking the fireworks. "What are you doing?"

[steven]

"I'm attempting to activate these terrible things... I don't imagine I'm succeeding..."

[Sam]

"First off, you don't want to set those off inside. You'll catch something on fire. Secondly, you use fire to light the wick."

[steven]

"The wic you say? A remarkable concept... that's the third time today you've assisted me. I am in your debt!"

[Sam]

"It's not a big deal. Now remember, no lighting those inside."

[steven]

"Hmm hmm... but think how close the lights would be! Beautiful, no?"

[Sam]

"No. Dangerous, yes."

[steven]

"Just as well, I suppose I should focus on tasks at hand anyway. Do you know much about some form of wizard training facility nearby?"

[Sam]

"Why do you want to know?"

[steven]

"The only reason I've arrived in this countr- *ahem* this 'stat' is upon the invitation of my darling younger sister. She is attending said academy. Her name is Cecille... I don't imagine you've heard of her?"

[Sam]

"I never went to the school in this 'stat'. I went to a different one."

[steven]

"Is that the case? How disappointing... Well, to be honest, it was such a pain for a gentleman of my reputation to cross into this stat... even if it was on behalf of family... I wonder if I'll be able to make it back out again when I've finished..."

[Sam]

"It's not that hard to go from state to state. It's countries that one could encounter problems." He smiled mischievously.
