Leaving

Li comes into the common room with a large packed backpack on her back... tears in her eyes... her eyes on the floor. ~Three months... three whole months away... Jason...~ Just as she's about to walk out of the door, Jason takes her shoulder... "Lira?"
She jumps slightly. "Jason... hey... I'm just... you know..." she sighs. "I'm just going out for a little bit..."
He shakes his head. "I'll walk with you... just for a little bit, then." He takes her hand and leads her out of the door, then kisses her hand. "I'm not stupid, Lira... I know you're leaving... did I really get you in that much trouble?"
Li shakes her head... "It's not your fault, Jason... I'm the one that lost control... You stay outta this... for now, at least... he's not happy with me, right now... I don't want him getting mad at you, too..."
"Him?"
"Don't ask. Knowing'll just make it worse for both of us... I've gotta go. I'll be back in a few months..."
"A few months? Lira..."
"Don't argue with me over this! I've got to go, that's all there is to it."
"I'll go, too."
"You've got OWLS, this year... You'd miss three months of notes..."
"Three months of notes that I can learn on my own..."
"I don't think it's a good idea..."

"Lira... I'm coming. What kinda man would I be if I let you go out there alone, eh?"
Li looks away, to the wall... "I can take care of myself, you know..."
He smiles and kisses her cheek before she has the chance to move away. "I know you can, doesn't mean I want 'cha to. Now, c'mon, I'll get my stuff, and you'll come with me, don't want you runnin' off without me."
~Damn... how'd he know I was gonna do that?~
He leads her back into the common room and to his room, ignoring the others in the room as he packs a few clothes and such, then nods to Lira... "Let's go."
Lira sighs. "Right." She leads him out... clinging to his hand, realizing she's relieved. She didn't want to be away from him for 3 months...
