He hadn't heard that name in over a year. He did not turn around, but instead hissed, through teeth that were quite obviously clenched. "I don't know who you're talking about."|

There was no conviction in his words. Either he did not believe in Voldemort's cause, or he didn't care.|

But whatever you take, do it quickly, and leave me be." His plan was the same as always. Once the boy left, he would move shop again. Maybe go back to Cairo. Cairo had been nice.|

For it was not peace he wanted...but Tom. That sense of security that always came when he was around the older wizard.|

His legs felt weak, but when that hand was offered, he took it and hauled himself to his feet...and promptly threw his arms around Tom, brushing a soft, almost nonexistant kiss to one pale cheek. Then he backed away, looked almost...shy? "I didn't think you'd still be here...It's been a while. I thought you'd move on."|

|The smile that lit his face was...brilliant. He had never smiled like that, before. He seemed infinitely more human, now. He brushed some loose strands of hair away from his face. "A lot has happened since I left, huh? I heard about the Headmistress, and the students. Pity." He did not sound completely sincere, but there was a spark in his eyes as he spoke. He might not have cared about them, but any death was worth mourning. Some more than others. But what was he doing just standing there? "Oh, God, I'm a horrible host! If we're going to talk we might as well be comfortable." He motioned towards the door at the back, then...took Tom's hand in his own, lacing their fingers together, and tugged him towards it.|
