Garden C was, as always, mostly dark and somewhat gloomy, the Wimpled Snapdragons and the Flesh-Eating Rue swinging warily out of their mistress' way. And Benedicta Vern sat atop a stump that had once beeen a dogwood tree. but had last year been struck by lightning. Pity. "Alright, class, gather ya round! I'm yer new Professor, Ben Vern, ya'll can call me Professor Vern. Or Ben. I don't mind, really. And today, we'll be looking at plants that've been classified as 'dangerous' by th'Government! Now! I want everyone to look up here at me and tell me t'most dangerous plant ya know of!" My, but she was a sight, all green hair, tattoos and piercings.

Becca, silently, was seated across the room, far away from tom. Timidly, she raised her hand. "Would a mandrake qualify?" Tom scoffs. She blushes, and puts her hand back down.

Ben smiled, nodding. There was something in the shape of her face, the thinness of her , that was almost...familiar. "Aye, Mandragora is classified as dangerous by t'Government. But only as fully growns, mind ya." She cocked her head, tilted her body towards the quiet boy near the back, and pointed. "Oi! You, over there! 'ow about you?"

Raven feels oddly out of place in the garden... far from her beloved magical creatures, feeling a bit nervous around the plants she's never been able to understand. ~Dangerous plants... you'd think with as much as I know about magical creatures, I'd know a few dangerous plants...~ She sighs. Herbology has never been Raven's specialty.

Ben blinked, slowly, lowering her arm and settling her hands on her hips as she stalked over to the boy. Now Ben was relatively easy-going. Bu this little punk's tone...Well. He was going down. "A'right, boy. You play rough, you get rough. Keep up that tone an' the Snare gets ya." Because, off in the corner of Garden C, was the clipping of Devil's Snare that Ben had been cultivating. It was doing fairly well. Actually, to tell the truth, it was flourishing, spreading snake-like tentacles across the ground like Medusa. It would have to be trimmed, soon. "Anyone else know anythin'? Or am I just gonna get sass today? No offense to ya, Miss." A quick nod to the girl who had answered before. She'd gotten a list of names, but damned if she could remember them.

Becca shakes her head, and goes back to staring at her shoes. "None taken." Tom didnt lose his smirk for a second.

She watched Tom, getting more nervous about his smirk then from the threatening plants...

Another tilt of the head, and, quite suddenly, it was obvious who she resembled. She moved her body in exactly the same ways that Jesse Brightstone did. Though it wasn't much of a surprise, considering the fact that most purebloods are related somehow. Ben sighed, then, and shook her head, reaching into her pocket and withdrawing a handful of what looked like berries. Some were red, and looked like miniature tomatoes. Three of them were red with black tops, and five were blue and looked like blueberries. The rest of them were the easily recognizable ruby-red of mistletoe. "Now, ya may be thinkin' tha' the Snare is tha most dangerous t'ing in th'room righ' now, but each'a these berries is fatal when eaten. It ain't hard to slip a berry inta someone's dinner, yanno. S'damn easy. An' spells, they don' detect 'em, if yer in th'habit of checkin' yer food. It ain't a poison ya make. All natural." She eyed the black-haired boy. Malevolently. "Ya'd never see it comin'. 'Specially with the yew." She pointed at the all-red tomato berries. "Sudden death. No symptoms at all. Now, can anyone tell me what any of these other ones are?"

Sarah, who was seated next to Becca, made a guess. "Misteltoe?" She already knew Ben from a previous talk when she'd mistook the professor's office for a garden and walked in, nearly getting attacked by several plants.
<Yeah, I'm just going to pretend that she's been here the whole time. And I know you said mistletoe, but I have no clue what other berries you were talking about. ^^() >
